WHO I AM
I spent 27 years honing my skills in the fields of title insurance, escrow services and mortgage banking. Having worked in customer service, as an escrow officer, loan processor. underwriting and operations manager, I decided towards the end of my tenure to be a contract / consulter for the mortgage banking industry. I had the great privilege of working with many loan brokers to advance their loan portfolios. I had the opportunity to be a person of integrity while working in San Diego for many high end owners of hotels, restaurants, art studios, financial plaza’s, corporate buildings and the San Diego Chargers to mention just a few of the clientele. In addition during my 27 years, I was able to be a part of the certified escrow officers, served on the board of young mortgage bankers, became of trainer of volunteers for the Family Focus foundation, along with being their official public speaker for one year. The foundations focus was on helping abused and neglected children.
After 27 years, I made the decision (although many thought I was crazy) to change careers and took a job with Graduation Autobahn, which is a franchise that’s sells the Jostens products. It was a huge change into a field I knew nothing about, just like when I went into mortgage banking. Yet, I knew it was the correct fit for me. I always enjoyed and loved working with students and kids and this was that opportunity. I was hired as the operations manager and sales associate for one of the representatives. Yet, I knew even in that I needed to find my own niche within the organization. That niche became back office policies and procedures as representatives understand the working relationship with Jostens. I felt all my training in mortgage banking would help tremendously, and it did. Within a year I was being asked to be a back office ambassador for the region I was. Then came the years of teaching classes about back office policies and procedures, quality control, associate relations and understanding programs at Jostens University (JU). All of these led me becoming a national trainer for Jostens representatives in regards to A/R, commissions, training of Jostens programs, communications, along with policy and procedure.
As the need for my abilities and knowledge grew, it became time for me to start my own company and that is why I started Future Hopes and Dreams. I now get the opportunity to fly around the country helping representatives align their offices with streamlined philosophies and processes. My goal is always how to save them money and have the all important work life balance.
